Got a tip you want to share with other travel writers? Send me a tip at flo@travelwritingtips.com and I’ll add it to these:

"Press trips can be hectic, and losing a piece of your luggage or leaving something behind can be annoying -- if not disasterous. Stick a business card in all your little bags that usually get packed into a larger bag -- cosmetic bag, shaving kit, etc. If you accidentally leave a bag in your hotel room room, (as I did recently), there is a way for the bag to be identified by hotel security when you call back to see if it has been located." -- Mel Christopher of Las Vegas
