"Press trips can be hectic, and losing a piece of your luggage or leaving something behind can be annoying -- if not disasterous. Stick a business card in all your little bags that usually get packed into a larger bag -- cosmetic bag, shaving kit, etc. If you accidentally leave a bag in your hotel room room, (as I did recently), there is a way for the bag to be identified by hotel security when you call back to see if it has been located." -- Mel Christopher of Las Vegas
“While I do like to stay away from the phone and the computer when I travel, I do like to type up my notes each day and keep a running daily journal. I don’t want to lug my laptop around, so I use my trusty AlphaSmart keyboard. It’s lightweight, runs forever on a couple of batteries, and I can easily import my notes via USB or infrared.
